Job Requirements

  • Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred
  • Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to follow instructions, assigned tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Always provide friendly service with a smile to guests
  • Flexible schedule with availability days, nights, holidays, and weekend based on the demands of the hotel
  • Must arrive and clock in on time for every shift worked and clock out at the scheduled shift ending time unless otherwise directed by manager
  • Never work while clocked out
  • Must clock in/out for breaks at designated times
  • Must provide sufficient notice when calling out for a scheduled shift
  • Capable of standing for sustained periods and walking long distances
  • Able to perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers
  • Able to lift and carry laundry supplies, linens, and other items
  • Able to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • Use guests’ names whenever possible to create a welcoming atmosphere
  • Work cooperatively to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores
  • Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency
  • Maintain strong knowledge of hotel features and amenities
  • Support all groups and events at the hotel
  • Understand and effectively use relevant technology for the role
  • Answer all incoming calls with a friendly, approved greeting
  • Keep workspaces and guest areas clean and well-organized
  • Pitch in with cleaning tasks as needed to maintain hotel safety and organization
  • Greet guests with hospitality even while performing cleaning duties
  • Complete operational checklists accurately and on time each shift
  • Prepare accurate shift handover reports
  • Wear clean, approved uniforms and maintain professional grooming and demeanor
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members
  • Exhibit a can-do attitude by stretching beyond traditional role boundaries
  • Collaborate effectively to create a welcoming environment and positive workplace
  • Greet guests and provide clear descriptions of food and beverage options
  • Deliver hot-to-order items promptly from kitchen to tables
  • Accurately input orders and secure payments using POS system
  • Prepare coffee and specialized drinks as a barista
  • Clear, clean, and reset tables for dining
  • Observe diners and respond promptly to requests
  • Complete daily inventory prep and side work according to labor rules
  • Know menu items thoroughly including current food and beverage offerings
  • Escort guests to tables as needed
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and handling policies
  • Help maintain restaurant and surrounding area cleanliness
  • Demonstrate knowledge of hotel amenities and operating hours
