Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess and maintain a valid Washington State MAST Permit
  • Possess and maintain a valid Washington State Food Handling Permit
  • Willingness to handle and serve all varieties of food including poultry, pork, beef, dairy, etc.
  • Willing to handle and serve alcohol
  • Ability to walk and stand during entire shift
  • Ability to lift and transport up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to work weekends and evenings as scheduled
  • Always punctual and ready to perform duties
  • Mandatory off the clock 30 min break when working 5 hours or more

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess valid Washington State MAST Permit
  • Possess valid Washington State Food Handling Permit
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Ability to communicate in English clearly and respectfully
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English
  • Possess food handling certificate and alcohol service permit as required by state and federal regulations

Job Duties

  • Responsible for set up and upkeep of buffet during catering events
  • Ability to interact with guests and direct them to buffet and answer questions pertaining to the menu
  • Maintains proper presentation and sanitation standards in all catering spaces
  • Assists in setting up banquet functions including linens, dishware, glassware and silverware
  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • Takes food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • Delivers food and beverages promptly while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • Demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
  • Advises guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested
  • Communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly
  • Collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
  • Promotes a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
  • Ensures dining room is properly set up prior to and after service period
  • Operates a variety of equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
  • Works with staff of other departments during special events and functions
  • Performs other duties as assigned
