The role of Server Assistant at Invited is integral to the front-of-house team, providing essential support in food and beverage service to ensure a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for members and guests. This position involves assisting servers by delivering food and beverages promptly, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining areas, and contributing to an inviting and welcoming atmosphere. Server Assistants gain familiarity with the menu and daily specials to support service efforts effectively and assist in responding to member inquiries.

Working closely with servers and management, Server Assistants handle member and guest requests with professionalism and escalate concerns as needed to maintain high service standards. The job also involves completing side work such as cleaning, organizing, and restocking supplies, following strict safety and cleanliness protocols that align with club policies. This position may also entail supporting special events and large parties, requiring flexibility and a willingness to assist wherever necessary to promote team success. Server Assistants are expected to uphold a neat and clean uniform standard while participating actively in daily briefings and taking initiatives for personal growth within the role.

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand walk and perform physical activities for extended periods
  • ability to work in varying temperatures and environments with potential exposure to dust fumes or gases
  • capable of climbing ladders squatting kneeling reaching grasping twisting bending and folding/unfolding as required
  • able to lift carry push and pull up to 100 lbs occasionally
  • effective communication skills including talking and hearing with sufficient visual acuity
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food and beverage service
  • current food handler and alcohol server certifications as required by state and city regulations
  • completion of Invited's F&B service training program

Job Duties

  • Assist with delivering food and beverages to members/guests ensuring prompt service
  • help maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area including setting up tables and restocking supplies
  • gain basic knowledge of the à la carte menu and daily specials to assist with service and answer simple questions
  • greet members/guests with a friendly attitude providing basic assistance and ensuring a welcoming environment
  • collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth dining experience providing support as needed
  • assist in handling member/guest requests and complaints escalating issues to servers or management when necessary
  • complete side work including cleaning organizing and stocking work areas to meet club standards
  • follow safety and cleanliness guidelines ensuring all areas are maintained in accordance with club policies
  • perform additional duties as assigned by management including supporting special events and large parties
