Conrad Los Angeles is the newest luxury hotel located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, California. Part of the billion-dollar development known as The Grand LA, this hotel marks the seventh Conrad Hotel in the United States and the very first in California. Known for its premium hospitality and exceptional service standards, Conrad Los Angeles offers over 300 elegantly appointed rooms across a stunning 28-story building. The hotel boasts impressive amenities including a spa, a 16,000 square foot rooftop pool deck, 12,000 square feet of event space, and three distinctive food and beverage outlets. These dining establishments include a signature restaurant, an outdoor restaurant, a lobby bar, and in-room dining services in collaboration with Chef Jose Andres' renowned restaurant group, JoseAndresFoodGroup. The Server Assistant role at Conrad Los Angeles is a crucial position that supports the delivery of outstanding dining experiences within this luxurious setting. The individual in this role will be responsible for essential tasks such as setting and clearing dining tables, replenishing service stations, and assisting the servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless food and beverage service. This position demands a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the physical ability to manage heavy items and work throughout long shifts. Candidates ideally will have prior experience as a food runner or bus person and possess knowledge of proper table settings and service ware. The role requires effective communication skills in English to respond promptly to guest requests and to understand safety notices. Flexibility is key, as working hours will include nights, weekends, and holidays. Furthermore, within 30 days of hire, the candidate must obtain a Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification and California Food Handler Card if applicable. The position offers an hourly wage of $21.90, reflecting the candidate’s experience and qualifications. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in food service or hospitality preferred
  • Ability to obtain Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification within 30 days if required
  • Ability to obtain California Food Handler Card within 30 days if required
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for full shifts
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Transport food items to kitchens to replenish supplies as needed
  • Clear dirty table settings quickly and reset tables promptly and consistently
  • Maintain stock and cleanliness of service stations including silverware, linen, and condiments
  • Wipe down dining area furniture and clean floors as necessary
  • Serve guests with beverages, breads, and butter to start their dining experience and replenish as required
  • Assist servers with food and beverage delivery to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Transport dirty tableware to dishwashing area for cleaning
