Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Must be 18+ years of age
- Adhere to and enforce company, local, state, and government regulations
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any required licensing or active work cards
- Ability to stand and move for the duration of a shift
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and move objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments with temperature variations
- Work may be performed in small areas with limited access
- Schedule could exceed 30 hours per week and include overtime
- Work varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to tolerate environmental factors such as smoke, noise, flashing lights, and stress
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of food and beverage service
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form
- Experience working in high-volume restaurant or bar preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and management
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards
- Customer service skills
Job Duties
- Assist restaurant servers in maintaining their tables and assisting guests
- Provide friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable food and beverage service
- Maintain complete knowledge of the food and bar menus and support staff procedures
- Prepare restaurant tables with attention to sanitation and setup
- Sanitize tabletops, chairs, and floors around tables
- Understand and accurately read food and beverage orders
- Ensure food is served according to safety standards
- Confirm orders are complete with correct preparation, plateware, glassware, garnish, presentation, and utensils
- Announce the names of food and beverages delivered to guests
- Carry dishes from bars and tables to kitchen dish area
- Maintain rapport with FOH and BOH management teams
- Inform management of complaints, comments, or incidents
- Communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests courteously
- Circulate through work areas to maintain line of sight and atmosphere control
- Keep tabletops, floors, and service areas clear of dirty items
- Keep service station and equipment storage organized
- Complete daily, nightly, weekly, and opening/closing duties
- Clean spills and waste immediately
- Observe and anticipate guest needs
- Adhere to appearance and uniform standards
- Follow all company and department policies and procedures
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
