The company prioritizes human goodness and flawless execution, operating multiple local restaurants committed to community engagement and high standards of service. Their mission emphasizes building a family-oriented culture that values team members, guests, suppliers, and the community alike. This culture is underpinned by a commitment to growth, pride, loyalty, and the creation of rich dining experiences that encourage repeat visits and brand loyalty.
The role being offered is that of a Bus Person, a vital position within the restaurant operations that supports food servers by bussing and resetting tables in assigned stations. This role also includes maintaining cleanliness and upkeep of dining areas, restrooms, and other designated parts of the restaurant such as the building exterior and entrance areas. The Bus Person may assist with refilling non-alcoholic beverages, serving bread or chips, and other specified food items based on need. The position demands a high level of teamwork to assist fellow team members, ensure positive guest interactions by acknowledging patrons, and uphold the restaurant’s professional image through cleanliness, proper uniform, and conduct.
This role is part-time or full-time with weekly compensation ranging from $750 to $1,000. It is site-specific and requires adherence to established cleaning, stocking, and maintenance schedules. The Bus Person participates in pre-shift, running shift, and post-shift activities in line with company standards, contributing to a smooth and efficient dining experience for guests. Furthermore, individuals in this role must maintain a harassment-free environment, uphold safety and security standards at all times, and complete any additional duties assigned by management.
A successful candidate will exhibit a friendly, pleasant demeanor and demonstrate cooperation, teamwork, and a positive attitude even under stress. Dependability, trustworthiness, and a genuine commitment to service are essential characteristics. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry 50 pounds continuously, perform stooping, twisting, and handling of objects, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations related to food and beverage service. Experience of at least six months to one year as a bus person in a full-service restaurant is preferred, ensuring familiarity with restaurant operations, menus, and customer service standards.
The Ditka Family of Restaurants offers benefits such as employee discounts, a flexible schedule, free uniforms, training and development opportunities, and potential for career advancement. They value team members who work well both independently and collaboratively, supporting the collective goal of delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality, eager to learn and grow within a dynamic restaurant group committed to excellence and community.
