Join the dynamic hospitality team at Costa Covo as a Server Assistant, where your role will be essential in supporting the front-of-house staff to deliver seamless, attentive service in a high-end coastal Italian dining environment. As a Server Assistant, you will assist servers by maintaining clean and well-organized dining areas, promptly clearing and resetting tables, and ensuring guests receive timely beverage refills and food orders. This role demands strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. Working in a fast-paced, luxury hotel restaurant, you will collaborate closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth operations that meet and exceed the high standards set by L'Ermitage, including maintaining 5-star Forbes and 5 Diamonds AAA standards.

The position offers an hourly wage of $21.50 as a tipped role and requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. It also mandates current certifications such as a Food Handler’s Card and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification.   • Previous experience as a busser, server assistant, or in a similar role within a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service-oriented approach
  • Maintain and execute 5-star Forbes and 5 Diamonds AAA standards
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Current Food Handler’s Card

Job Duties

  • Assist servers in providing attentive and efficient service to guests, ensuring a seamless dining experience
  • Set up and maintain the dining areas including tables, chairs, and condiment stations, ensuring cleanliness and organization
  • Clear tables and reset them promptly, ensuring that used dishes, utensils, and glassware are removed
  • Refill beverages and assist in delivering food orders from the kitchen to guests' tables
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages
  • Monitor and anticipate guest needs to provide proactive service and ensure guest satisfaction
  • Assist in handling cash and credit transactions accurately when needed
  • Follow health and safety guidelines and hotel policies to maintain a safe and clean environment
