Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior hospitality experience preferred
- Ability to understand and communicate in English
- Ability to handle physical demands such as transporting trays up to 50 lbs
- Ability to comply with Club attendance policy
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends
- Ability to obtain TiPs or other Club-required certifications
- Commitment to professional conduct and teamwork
- Adherence to health and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skill and abilities
- Prior hospitality experience, fine dining specifically, is preferred
- Ability to obtain any Club-required certification or licenses such as TiPs certification
- Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
- Ability to understand English sufficiently to assist members, guests, and coworkers
- Ability to promote a variety of menu items
Job Duties
- Understand and implement The Gallery | The Fresco's statement of purpose and service guarantees
- Adhere to the Club attendance policy
- Quickly and quietly clear dirty table settings and reset tables
- Promptly and consistently reset all service ware as needed
- Maintain stock and cleanliness of all service stations with necessary equipment including silverware, linen, water and iced tea pitchers, tray jacks, bread napkins and trays
- Serve bread, butter, and water promptly at the beginning of meals and replenish as necessary
- Properly clear and stack dirty dishes on trays and remove from dining room to designated areas
- Follow service rules of etiquette
- Conduct oneself professionally with members, guests, and coworkers
- Properly time service to conform to guest needs
- Assist members, guests, and coworkers in a friendly and courteous manner
- Report infractions of Club rules to management professionally
- Fold napkins for bread service and table settings
- Perform all assigned side work
- Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health standards and room specifications
- Assist in the training of newly hired employees
