Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to obtain required work cards, alcohol awareness cards and non-gaming registration as required by local jurisdiction
  • Must pass all required background checks
  • Internal candidates must have been in their current position for at least six months and meet transfer and promotion policy requirements
  • Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Must be able to move in and around the work area throughout the entire workday
  • Must be able to engage and interact with guests appropriately
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
  • Must be able to communicate regularly and accurately with coworkers and guests
  • Must possess manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Must comply with all legal and company regulations related to working in the hospitality and gaming industry

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including day, swing, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • Ability to greet and interact with guests in a friendly, calm, and professional manner
  • Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers, guests, and vendors both in person and by telephone
  • Knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
  • Capacity to perform repetitive physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Experience using point of sale and other relevant restaurant equipment is a plus

Job Duties

  • Supports steakhouse servers by maintaining the ice water, rolls, side dishes and other items as directed for each table
  • Is knowledgeable of the bread offerings and consistently presents the bread with a detailed description of the contents and ingredients
  • Consistently performs table maintenance to ensure a positive guest experience and service flow
  • Maintains a clean dining room in coordination with the steakhouse server and management teams
  • Stocks flatware, glassware, and other supplies to support the servers throughout the shift
  • Properly labeling, dating, covering, and refrigerating prepped items in the dining side stations
  • Performs opening, closing and side duties, setting up/breaking down the dining room, cleaning glass/countertops, sweeping the floor, etc
  • Rotates product to maintain freshness
  • Assists the server in greeting guests and welcomes them upon arrival to the dining room
  • Assists with food delivery, and pre-bussing as necessary based on shift assignment
  • Demonstrates skills in guest recovery and requests assistance from management staff as needed
  • Utilizes all opening and closing checklists effectively and performs all duties in accordance with room standards
  • Maintains regular attendance at scheduled shifts and staff meetings
  • Consistently uses all bar and restaurant equipment, cleaning, and sanitizing products in accordance with all MSDS sheets and departmental standards
  • Provides friendly and enthusiastic guest interactions, anticipates and meets guest needs and preferences
  • Develops and maintains professional, trusting, and positive relationships with managers, supervisors, staff, coworkers, guests, and vendors
  • Completes work activities accurately, efficiently, and timely
  • Works safely according to company safety policies and procedures
  • Maintains professionalism and a friendly and approachable demeanor
  • Assists with training or mentoring new team members as requested
  • Maintains all appearance standards in accordance with uniform and appearance guidelines
  • Informs manager on duty of any irregularities or unusual situations
  • Keeps a friendly, calm, and helpful demeanor in high-stress and fast-paced environments
  • Displays honesty and integrity in all interactions
  • Works independently or as part of a team
  • Remains compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
