As a Busperson, you will be the backbone of the dining room operations. Your primary responsibility will be to assist servers by preparing the dining area for service, clearing and setting tables efficiently between courses and after guests have finished their meals, and providing essential guest services such as refilling water and supplying butter and appetizers. You will play a key role in fostering a positive guest experience by responding promptly and professionally to guest requests, aiding in food and beverage service when needed, and ensuring that all restaurant areas are kept clean, safe, and orderly.
Additionally, the Busperson at Temecula Creek Inn handles critical tasks including managing linen and silverware supplies at the bus station, understanding menu and wine offerings to assist guests, and executing opening and closing duties as directed. Job Requirements
- Able to read, write and speak basic English well enough to understand directions and guest requests
- At least one year experience as busperson in a dinner house
- Hotel restaurant experience preferred
- Detail oriented, organized and efficient
- Safety minded
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Courteous, friendly and professional manner
- Able to work productively with little supervision
- Trustworthy and reliable
- Physically able to stand and walk short distances throughout shift
- Frequently required to handle and carry objects weighing up to 30 lbs
- Able to bend, stoop, reach and push to perform routine tasks
- Frequent use of stairs daily
- Able to work under pressure

Job Duties
- Understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner
- Work as a team with server in performing routine support services including setting up dining room, clearing and resetting tables between courses and after meals, providing guests with water, butter, and appetizers, and serving all food and beverages as requested by the server
- Provide prompt, efficient, and gracious customer service including taking and delivering food and beverage orders, and managing guest checks
- Follow all specified procedures to handle credit card and gift card transactions correctly
- Ensure an adequate supply of clean, presentable linens, silverware, and all other accessories are prepared and available at the bus station
- Understand all menu items and wine list to assist guests as needed
- Perform all opening and closing duties as directed
- Follow all policies and procedures of the food and beverage department and Temecula Creek Inn
- Immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas at all times
- Practice safe work habits
- Comply with company and departmental safety rules and properly handle relevant equipment
- Attend all mandatory meetings as directed
- Perform other tasks including cross-training as directed
