Job Description

Banksia is a well-established gourmet Australian-style restaurant with two vibrant locations in Kansas City: Banksia Bistro, located downtown and serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner; and Banksia Cafe in South Plaza, offering breakfast and lunch. Job Requirements

Must have full-service restaurant experience
No fast food or Starbucks-style only background accepted
Ability to work day, evening, or morning shifts as scheduled
Willingness to work weekends (full-time especially)
Capable of lifting and standing for extended periods
Legal authorization to work in the US
Availability for in-person work at designated locations

Job Qualifications

Minimum two years barista experience
Minimum three years experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant
Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to multitask efficiently and maintain a positive attitude
Familiarity with cocktail and bar service (preferable for evening shifts)
Punctual and reliable work ethic

Job Duties

Provide friendly and efficient day-time barista and server services including both counter and tableside interactions
Deliver full-service evening dining experience including cocktail and bar service when applicable
Work quickly and efficiently in a small team environment to manage high volume service
Buss tables and assist with dish duties
Maintain a welcoming and upbeat customer service attitude
Handle cash and process payments accurately
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of workstations and dining areas
