Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- No previous food service experience required but helpful
- Must obtain and maintain required food handler licenses or certificates
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Basic computer skills required
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Problem-solving skills in non-standard situations
- Positive attitude and friendly demeanor
Job Qualifications
- No experience is necessary although previous food service experience is preferred
- Food safety training to obtain and or hold required food handling and sanitation licenses and or certificates
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English
- Basic computer skills for POS system and payroll system
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and co-workers
Job Duties
- Prepare tables present menu answer questions and make suggestions regarding food and service remain knowledgeable about posted daily specials
- Write food order and relay order to kitchen serve courses from kitchen and service bars
- Clear and reset counters or tables at conclusion of each course
- Assist in keeping dining tables and chairs floors linens and serving stations clean bussed and stocked
- Maintain required food handler's certifications
