Birchview Memory Care is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated team members to join their Dining Services team during the day shift. This role is pivotal in creating a positive dining experience for residents, combining excellent customer service with hands-on assistance in the dining area. As a member of the Dining Services team, you will play an integral role in helping residents during meal times by greeting and seating guests, serving food, clearing tables, and assisting with cleaning and food preparation as needed. This position requires individuals who have a genuine love and respect for seniors and understand the importance of providing a dignified dining experience.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to assist residents and perform physical tasks including standing and walking for extended periods
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work day shifts
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in dining services or hospitality is an asset
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
  • Genuine compassion and respect for seniors
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices

Job Duties

  • Assist residents by seating them in the dining room
  • Serve meals to residents in a courteous and timely manner
  • Clear and clean tables after meals
  • Help with food preparation as needed
  • Assist with dining room cleanup duties
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents
  • Ensure a safe and pleasant dining environment
