The Server role within our hotel is pivotal to delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. This position requires a friendly and professional demeanor, ensuring guests feel welcomed and valued from the moment they enter the dining area. The Server will be responsible for greeting guests warmly, maintaining comprehensive knowledge of menu items and specials, accurately taking and relaying guest orders to the kitchen, and serving food promptly. Additionally, Servers must observe guests attentively to anticipate and fulfill additional needs, contributing to an overall seamless dining experience.

The role also involves following approved cash handling and transaction procedures to ensure accuracy and security during service. A Server may be required to perform duties typically associated with buspersons, such as clearing and resetting tables during shifts, to support the smooth operation of the dining area. Completion of side work and closing duties is also necessary, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work environment.

An essential part of the job is employing guest recovery techniques to resolve complaints effectively, turning potentially negative experiences into positive ones. Depending on shift responsibilities, preparing deposits and end-of-shift reports may also be part of this position. Servers are expected to immediately report any safety or security concerns to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.
