Job Description
Buffalo Wild Wings is a leading casual dining restaurant and sports bar chain that is well-known for its vibrant atmosphere where friends gather to enjoy wings, drinks, and sports. Founded in 1982, the company has grown to become a popular destination for sports enthusiasts and food lovers alike, offering a wide range of sauces, seasonings, and beverages tailored to complement their signature wings. The brand emphasizes creating memorable social experiences and legendary customer service, making it a top choice in the restaurant and hospitality industry. Buffalo Wild Wings prides itself on fostering a lively and inviting environment where guests can enjoy great food, celebrate sports events, and build lasting friendships.
The Server role at Buffalo Wild Wings is an essential position focused on delivering outstanding guest experiences that align with the company’s mission to inspire legendary moments between friends. This role is full-time or part-time, and compensation typically includes an hourly wage supplemented by tips, delivering a competitive income opportunity for individuals passionate about customer service and the food and beverage industry. The server acts as the face of the restaurant, engaging guests with enthusiasm and professionalism from the moment they arrive until they leave. Responsibilities include describing menu items and specials, taking accurate food and drink orders, ensuring timely and precise delivery, and handling payment transactions with care and accuracy.
Effective servers at Buffalo Wild Wings also have a responsibility to support regulatory compliance, particularly in checking guest identification to ensure the legal consumption of alcoholic beverages. They work collaboratively with team members, promoting cooperation and teamwork to maintain a smooth and efficient dining operation. This role demands physical stamina, as servers frequently stand, walk, and carry items during fast-paced shifts that require multi-tasking and attentive customer service.
Buffalo Wild Wings provides a dynamic work environment where employees can develop strong professional skills while contributing to a fun and social atmosphere. The company values individuals who are self-starters, energetic, and able to remain calm and tactful in challenging situations. Previous experience in restaurant service, especially within casual dining contexts, is preferred but not mandatory for motivated candidates. Additionally, knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits adds value, supporting responsible beverage service and upselling techniques that enhance overall guest satisfaction and company revenues.
Overall, joining Buffalo Wild Wings as a Server offers a rewarding opportunity to thrive in a supportive team, contribute to a well-recognized brand, and grow within the hospitality industry while making each guest visit a memorable and enjoyable experience.
