The Server role at Buffalo Wild Wings is a key position that directly impacts the guest experience and the overall success of the restaurant. This full-time, hourly position involves much more than just taking orders and serving food. Servers at Buffalo Wild Wings are expected to create memorable interactions by engaging with guests, describing menu offerings including food and beverage items, and efficiently handling orders and payments. They play a fundamental role in inspiring legendary experiences among guests by maintaining an atmosphere of happiness and a strong sense of community within the restaurant. Beyond guest interaction, servers are responsible for supporting their teammates to ensure smooth operations and adherence to quality and safety standards, especially in alcohol service compliance and revenue generation.
As part of their daily duties, servers at Buffalo Wild Wings take an active role in promoting specials and upselling products to enhance guest satisfaction. They must remain vigilant and respectful in checking guest IDs to comply with legal alcohol consumption age requirements. Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining and bar areas is also critical, alongside handling food and beverage orders with precision via the register system. Job Requirements
- Minimum one year of experience in a server position within the restaurant business preferred
- basic knowledge of beer, wine and spirits and standard drink recipes required
- ability to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 4 hours in length

Job Duties
- Inspire legendary experiences between friends for our guests by creating an atmosphere of happiness and a sense of community
- inform guests of specials and/or promotions, answering questions and making suggestions when asked
- use up-selling techniques with every guest to enhance experience
- address guest concerns and inform manager
- promote excellence, cooperation and teamwork within the company
- support and assist team members
- set-up, maintain and operate dining and bar areas
- check guest identification to ensure they meet minimum 40 year age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
- adhere to standardized portion sizes, quality standards and department rules and procedures
- take drink and food orders and accurately input into register system
- ensure the correct drinks and food ordered are delivered to the table/guest
- collect payment and make correct change or process credit card transactions
- practice safe food handling and cleanliness standards at all times
- sweep, wet mop and/or brush floors, as needed or directed by manager, posting wet floor sign to mopped floors
- buss tables and ensure marketing materials and menus are positioned appropriately
- ensure PCI credit card compliance
- unload trucks, pallets, and cases of food and beverage and put in assigned locations
- perform other duties as assigned
