Situated within one of the leading healthcare networks, the UPMC Headquarters Kitchen operates as an essential hub, offering full-service dining and catering solutions tailored to the unique needs of its diverse employees, visitors, and event participants. The kitchen team is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of service, hygiene, and professionalism to support a seamless dining experience and successful catered events throughout the facility.

The successful candidate must demonstrate a take-charge attitude, combined with reliability and a commitment to punctuality, to ensure that all aspects of the job are executed accurately and completely.

You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety standards of the kitchen, adhering strictly to sanitation protocols, and observing all relevant safety procedures. Physical stamina is important for this role, as it requires long periods of standing and occasional lifting of items up to 25 pounds. Your professional appearance, along with your courteous communication with faculty, staff, peers, and visitors, will help uphold the kitchen's reputation for service excellence.

Moreover, this role involves collaboration with the Business and Corporate Events team to deliver superior catering experiences. You will be expected to promptly address any challenges that arise during events and keep supervisors informed of day-to-day operational issues. Embracing the service management vision of UPMC, you will consistently demonstrate appropriate behavior towards management, staff, and visitors, ensuring a positive and respectful working environment.

Overall, the Lead Server Assistant position at UPMC Headquarters Kitchen offers an excellent opportunity for dedicated, service-oriented professionals to contribute to a vital function within a prestigious healthcare institution.
