This Part-Time Server position at The Westin Copley Place is ideal for individuals passionate about delivering superior customer service in a vibrant food and beverage setting. The role requires serving food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests at various events, ensuring tables are set according to service standards, and responding to guest inquiries about menu options. Effective communication with kitchen staff is essential to address menu questions, manage order timing, and accommodate special dietary needs or allergies. Servers use the MICROS system to record orders accurately and ensure seamless transaction processing.
In addition to service delivery, this role involves maintaining cleanliness of work areas and dining ware throughout the day, completing closing duties such as restocking and shutting down, and providing guests with attentive check-ins to guarantee satisfaction. Physical requirements include standing, walking, lifting, and maneuvering objects consistent with hospitality service demands. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- At least 1 year of related work experience
- No supervisory experience
- None license or certification
Job Duties
- Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests
- Set tables according to type of event and service standards
- Answer questions on menu selections
- Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, re-cook orders, and product availability
- Record transaction in MICROS system at time of order
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day
- Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc.
- Present physical and accurate check to guest and process payment
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
- Anticipate and address guests’ service needs
- Assist individuals with disabilities
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors
