Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in hospitality preferred
Ability to work flexible hours including long shifts
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Ability to stand and move throughout dining areas carrying trays
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize
Must attend required meetings and trainings
Maintain regular attendance in compliance with company standards
Adhere to uniform and grooming standards
Follow safety and operational procedures
Must be proactive in problem solving
Ability to maintain confidentiality

Ability to handle guest and employee concerns effectively

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
Ability to work flexible and sometimes long hours
Ability to exert medium physical effort including lifting up to 50 pounds
Capability to stand for entire shifts and maneuver carrying full trays
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner
Ability to listen, understand, and resolve concerns raised by guests and employees
Ability to multitask and prioritize duties
Attend all required hotel meetings and trainings
Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
Comply with hotel standards and safety regulations
Ability to identify problems and assist in implementing solutions
Capacity to handle problems proactively

Job Duties

Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and employees
Be familiar with the organization of restaurants, lounges, and room service including job functions
Have thorough knowledge of menu items and current specials
Provide attentive, courteous, and efficient service of food and beverages
Pre-bus tables by removing soiled dishes after courses
Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately
Perform cashiering tasks including closing checks and preparing end-of-shift paperwork
Conduct opening and closing procedures and complete side-work duties according to assigned station
Maintain cleanliness and stocking of tables and side stands
Ensure beverages such as coffee, tea, soda, water, and lemonade are at least three-quarters full
Breakdown trays of soiled dishes and linens in the dishroom using established standards
Answer telephones professionally and according to standards
Consistently upsell food, beverages, and promotional items
Be familiar with fire extinguisher locations and usage
Receive and deliver food and beverage orders and collect payments
Ensure overall guest satisfaction
