Job Requirements

- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
- strong communication skills
- ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- prior food service experience preferred
- availability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Provide promptly, efficient, courteous service to all guests
- greet and seat guests
- talk and serve orders
- take guest remittance as required
- clear dishes and reset tables
- develop and maintain professional functional working relationships with employees and guests
- execute the service guidelines per the IHOP SOP to ensure a high-quality guest experience
- handle guest complaints professionally, courteously, and timely
- memorize and apply IHOP terminology, abbreviations, methodologies, and menu knowledge
- comply with SOP methods for guest checks and server banking procedures
- stock and rotate supplies in service areas and dining room per shift
- comply with health, sanitation, and safety guidelines
