We are currently seeking a dedicated Server to join our team and help us uphold the excellent level of service IHOP is known for. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in creating memorable experiences for our guests by providing prompt, efficient, and courteous service. This includes greeting guests warmly, seating them comfortably, taking accurate orders, serving food and beverages, and managing financial transactions with care and professionalism. In addition to direct guest interaction, the server will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area by clearing dishes promptly and resetting tables to welcome the next guests. Emphasizing a thorough understanding of IHOP's service guidelines and menu knowledge is essential to succeed in this role. We expect our server to handle guest complaints with tact and professionalism, turning potentially negative experiences into positive outcomes and encouraging guests to return. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
ability to stand and walk for extended periods
ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
strong communication skills
ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
prior food service experience preferred
availability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

Provide promptly, efficient, courteous service to all guests
greet and seat guests
talk and serve orders
take guest remittance as required
clear dishes and reset tables
develop and maintain professional functional working relationships with employees and guests
execute the service guidelines per the IHOP SOP to ensure a high-quality guest experience
handle guest complaints professionally, courteously, and timely
memorize and apply IHOP terminology, abbreviations, methodologies, and menu knowledge
comply with SOP methods for guest checks and server banking procedures
stock and rotate supplies in service areas and dining room per shift
comply with health, sanitation, and safety guidelines
