The Server position at Grand Living reflects this core philosophy and plays a vital role in delivering the outstanding dining experience the company is known for. The Server is responsible for serving residents, family members, and guests with a focus on hospitality that is professional, friendly, courteous, and timely. They support culinary activities across multiple dining venues, including the Bistro, Casual and Formal dining areas, the Luminations® memory care dining venue, the Club Room, as well as during special events and private functions. This role ensures that every dining engagement adheres to the high standards of Grand Living and fosters a positive, memorable experience for all.

Operating under the guidance of the Executive Chef and Dining Room Supervisor, the Server helps maintain smooth service flow following community standards, processes, procedures, and philosophies. This position requires a passion for hospitality, an ability to engage warmly with residents and guests, and a readiness to support the team in delivering exceptional dining services. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, preferred
  • One year of serving experience, preferred
  • Ability to read, write and understand the English language
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to use kitchen equipment and utensils
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull and work continuously without sitting for extended periods
  • Ability to lift or carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write and understand English to communicate effectively with employees and residents
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to use kitchen equipment and utensils

Job Duties

  • Enhance the overall dining experience for residents, family members and guests
  • Assist in delivery of culinary activities in multiple dining venues including Bistro, Casual, Formal, Luminations® memory care and Club Room
  • Serve residents and guests during special events and private functions
  • Provide service in a professional, friendly, courteous, helpful and timely manner
  • Follow guidance of the Executive Chef and Dining Room Supervisor and adhere to Community standards, processes, procedures, practices and philosophies
  • Ensure high level of satisfaction for Residents and their guests
  • Support team efforts to maintain smooth dining operations
