Job Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
capable of lifting and moving up to 25 pounds
availability to work PM shifts Thursday through Saturday from 3pm to 11pm, with possible additional AM shift hours
ability to follow KHC policies and maintain a professional image
legal eligibility to serve alcohol according to local laws

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
previous experience in a server or food service role preferred
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
ability to work in a fast-paced environment
basic math skills for handling transactions
knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
ability to follow company policies and dress code

Job Duties

Presents menu, answers questions, and suggestively sells food and service
writes order on check or memorizes it
relays order to kitchen and runs food out to customers to ensure it is timely, hot and correctly prepared
garnishes and decorates dishes preparatory to serving
cards patrons who appear under the legal drinking age and refuses alcohol service to minors
uses good judgement in not serving alcohol to intoxicated patrons
observes diners to quickly respond to additional requests and ensures guest satisfaction
collects money for food and drinks served and accurately makes change
ladles soup, tosses salads, portions pies and desserts, brews coffee, and performs other services
busses and sets tables according to standards, completes side duties and assists other wait staff to ensure guest satisfaction
maintains a clean, organized and appropriately stocked work area
