The company takes pride in being more than just a place to eat; it is a community hub where guests enjoy memorable meals and connect with friends and family. With over 500 restaurants, Red Lobster continues to grow while maintaining its foundational passion for quality service and seafood excellence. The company emphasizes the importance of its team members in creating a welcoming environment, fostering a culture of inclusion and respect, and providing guests with outstanding dining experiences.
The Server role at Red Lobster is a vital position responsible for ensuring that guests have an enjoyable and seamless dining experience. Servers are the face of the restaurant, engaging with guests from the moment they arrive to the time they leave. The role involves greeting and welcoming guests with a smile, suggesting menu items such as drinks, appetizers, and desserts to enhance the dining experience, and taking accurate food and beverage orders to be entered into the point of sale (POS) system. Servers must promptly deliver food and drinks, check back with guests to ensure satisfaction, provide refills, clear tables efficiently, and process payments. Adhering to all food safety standards is essential to maintain the restaurant's high-quality service and guest safety.
Working at Red Lobster offers more than just a job; it includes competitive wages with weekly pay, flexible scheduling to accommodate employees' diverse needs, and comprehensive benefits starting at less than $10 per week including medical, dental, and vision coverage. Additional benefits include life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary benefits options, and a 401(k) plan with a company match after one year of service, fostering long-term financial security. Employees also benefit from anniversary pay, discounted shift meals, a 25 percent discount when dining as a guest, and career advancement opportunities with training and growth pathways. The role requires physical stamina to handle duties that involve standing for 8 to 12 hours, lifting up to 30 pounds, and multitasking in a dynamic environment. Red Lobster is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to succeed in the role.
Red Lobster fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone is welcomed and valued. The company is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, committed to eliminating discrimination and providing equal employment opportunities regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. Joining Red Lobster means becoming part of a family dedicated to excellence, community, and big plans for continued growth and success in the restaurant industry. This role is ideal for energetic, courteous, and detail-oriented individuals seeking a rewarding career in hospitality with opportunities to advance and flourish within a supportive team environment.
