The Cypress of Charlotte is a distinguished Life Plan Community located in the heart of Charlotte, North Carolina. Nestled on 65 scenic acres in the upscale SouthPark neighborhood, it offers a unique combination of luxury living and compassionate senior care. The Cypress of Charlotte is currently seeking a part-time Dining Room Server to join its fine dining culinary team. This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for hospitality and enjoy creating positive dining experiences within a senior living community. The role requires working less than 30 hours weekly, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and with specific Sunday hours from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Servers are compensated between $15.00 and $15.86 per hour, depending on experience. As a part of this role, the Dining Room Server will provide full-scope, hands-on service duties in a refined dining setting that caters to a senior demographic. Responsibilities include setting tables, maintaining dining room cleanliness and appearance, taking orders, serving food and beverages with proper etiquette, and responding knowledgeably to menu inquiries. The ideal candidate will have patience, compassion, and an ability to communicate effectively with seniors, contributing to an inviting and respectful dining atmosphere. - Must be age 16 or older
- Ability to interpret and explain menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understands requests
- Must be able to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English

- Responsible for adhering to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards always

- Set tables and maintain workstations in proper order
- Take order, provide service and requested items both graciously and courteously
- Answer pertinent questions about menu items
- Serve customers using proper serving etiquette and promote an inviting dining atmosphere
