The Server role at Red Lobster is an essential part of the dining experience. Servers are responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere by greeting guests with a friendly smile and providing attentive, personalized service throughout their visit. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task efficiently, ensuring that orders are accurately taken and delivered in a timely manner. Servers suggest menu items such as drinks, appetizers, and desserts to enhance the dining experience and increase guest satisfaction.

Servers use the restaurant’s POS system to enter orders correctly and coordinate closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure food and beverages are delivered promptly. Continually checking on guests to provide drink refills, clear used dishes, and address any concerns is vital to maintaining high service standards. At the end of the meal, servers present and settle the bill with a courteous thank you and invite guests to return.

Physical stamina is a key requirement in this role, as servers spend long periods standing and moving around the restaurant. The job demands the ability to bend, reach, stoop, and lift up to 30 pounds safely. Job Requirements

  • Must meet the minimum age requirement and authorized to work in the country you are applying
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop and lift up to 30 pounds safely
  • Ability to move about the restaurant and remain standing for an 8 - 12 hour shift
  • Team player with attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Willingness to follow food safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a customer service or food service role preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of food safety practices
  • Ability to operate POS systems
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor

Job Duties

  • Welcoming guests and greeting every guest with a smile when they are seated
  • Suggestively selling drinks, appetizers, and desserts
  • Accurately taking food and drink orders and entering orders into the POS system properly
  • Picking up and delivering food orders in a timely manner
  • Checking back with guests throughout the experience to provide refills as needed and clearing any items from the table
  • Delivering and settling the check in a timely manner, thanking guests and inviting them to return
  • Following all food safety standards
