The part-time Server position at Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and customer service within a dynamic retail and dining environment. The Server plays a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests by providing courteous and efficient service in their assigned dining station. This role demands an individual who can ensure that guests' expectations are not only met but exceeded, by attentively managing food and beverage orders, offering knowledgeable menu guidance, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

Servers at Bass Pro Shops are expected to uphold the highest standards of service, including prompt guest greetings, accurate order recording, and proper handling of alcoholic beverage protocols to promote responsible consumption. The position includes training to master menus and service standards, encouraging the use of suggestive selling techniques to enhance the guest experience and maximize sales. Additionally, the Server will be responsible for supporting team members such as bussers, bartenders, and runners, as well as maintaining cleanliness and organization of the service areas.

Physical stamina is essential as the role involves standing and walking regularly and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. Job Duties

  • Support a strong commitment to world class guest service and ensure a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience for restaurant patrons
  • Complete training requirements and follow service standards as trained
  • Greet guests promptly and courteously in assigned workstation
  • Understand and execute established procedures for verifying guests' ability to legally purchase and consume alcohol and prevent overindulgence
  • Learn all menus and communicate all food and beverage offerings
  • Effectively use suggestive selling techniques
  • Record food and beverage orders, enter orders into computer system, monitor status of order preparation and safely transport order from kitchen to guest
  • Monitor and address guest needs during meal
  • Collect monies owed for food and beverages and properly perform all guest check accountability procedures
  • Perform tip declaration activities and compensate indirectly tipped associates per established service procedures
  • Perform daily cleaning activities
  • Perform food running and station set-up/break-down responsibilities as assigned
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
