Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned family-owned seafood restaurant chain with a rich history spanning over fifty years. Established with the vision of connecting people to seafood and the coastal experience, Red Lobster has grown into a beloved dining destination with over 500 locations. The company values tradition, quality, and community, making every guest experience special by providing not just meals but memorable moments. Red Lobster takes pride in being more than just a restaurant; it is a place where new friends become familiar faces, and staff members are regarded as part of a close-knit family. This connection to community and commitment to excellent service has helped Red Lobster sustain its reputation as a leader in the casual dining seafood industry.
The role of Server at Red Lobster is a critical position that embodies the company’s mission of delivering exceptional guest experiences. Servers are the frontline ambassadors of the brand, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere as guests enter the restaurant. This role goes beyond simply taking orders—it involves engaging with guests, suggestively selling drinks, appetizers, and desserts, and ensuring that every detail of the dining experience exceeds expectations. Servers must accurately enter orders into the POS system, coordinate timely delivery of food and beverages, and continuously check in with guests to provide refills and attend to their needs. A Server wraps up the dining experience by delivering the check promptly while thanking guests and inviting them to return.
This position offers numerous benefits designed to support the health, well-being, and financial security of employees. These include weekly pay and competitive wages, flexible scheduling that accommodates different lifestyles, and affordable options for medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at less than $10 per week. Employees also have access to life insurance, short-term disability, and other voluntary benefits. After completing one year of service, employees can participate in the 401(k) retirement savings plan, which includes a company match. Additional perks include anniversary pay for eligible staff, discounted shift meals, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. Importantly, Red Lobster invests in career development by offering training and advancement opportunities, allowing employees to grow within the company.
Physical demands for the Server position require stamina, the ability to lift up to 30 pounds safely, and the capability to remain on one’s feet for shifts lasting 8 to 12 hours. Team players with attention to detail and multitasking abilities tend to succeed in this dynamic and fast-paced environment. Red Lobster is committed to inclusivity and equal opportunity employment, welcoming candidates of diverse backgrounds and identities.
Joining Red Lobster means being part of a larger family that values its people and looks forward to a bright future with big plans on the horizon. For those passionate about hospitality and seafood dining, this is an exciting time to contribute to the success and growth of a storied brand where every seat tells a story.
