Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned casual dining seafood restaurant chain with a rich history spanning over fifty years. Beginning from a single family-owned establishment, the brand has steadily grown into a network of over 500 restaurants, dedicated to delivering exceptional seafood experiences to guests across various communities. Red Lobster emphasizes its connection to the coast and seafood, creating a welcoming atmosphere where new friendships form and familiar faces return regularly. The company values its role within the local neighborhoods it serves, aiming to deliver not just meals but memorable moments at every table. Working at Red Lobster means being part of a family-oriented environment that prioritizes quality, community involvement, and guest satisfaction.
The Server role at Red Lobster is a pivotal position that blends excellent customer service with efficient order coordination. Serving as the primary point of contact for guests, Servers ensure a warm and inviting dining experience from the moment guests are seated to when they leave. This role demands attentiveness, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Servers at Red Lobster are responsible for greeting guests with a smile, suggesting beverages and menu items, accurately taking and transmitting orders through the POS system, and promptly delivering food and drinks. Additionally, they maintain continuous engagement with guests by providing refills, clearing tables, and making sure all food safety standards are followed closely.
Working as a Server at Red Lobster also entails the physical ability to perform tasks that may include bending, reaching, lifting up to 30 pounds safely, and standing or moving around for shifts that can last from eight to twelve hours. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with attention to detail and the capacity to multitask effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Red Lobster offers competitive wages with weekly pay and flexible scheduling, making it a great workplace for those seeking balance alongside career opportunities. Employees have access to affordable medical, dental, and vision benefits starting at under $10 per week, plus life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits. The company supports long-term financial security through a 401(k) plan with matching contributions after one year of service. Additional perks include anniversary pay, discounted shift meals, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. The company strongly believes in growth and development, providing comprehensive training and career advancement opportunities for team members dedicated to building a future within the Red Lobster family.
This position and workplace culture reflect Red Lobster’s commitment to equal employment opportunity, celebrating diversity and inclusion at all levels. Anyone authorized to work in the country, and meeting the physical and skill requirements, is encouraged to apply. Red Lobster is proud to foster a welcoming and supportive environment that respects and values every individual's unique background, ensuring equitable treatment regardless of age, race, gender identity, disability, or veteran status. As Red Lobster looks forward to exciting growth and innovation, now is an opportune time to join their thriving team and contribute to something truly special in the hospitality industry.
