Job Description
Red Lobster is a well-established restaurant chain that began as a family-owned establishment with a mission to provide people with a unique connection to seafood and the coastal lifestyle. With over fifty years of experience, Red Lobster has grown into a family of more than 500 restaurants, each representing the passion of its founders to create welcoming environments where customers can enjoy their favorite meals and create special moments. More than just a place to eat, Red Lobster is part of the communities it serves, fostering friendships that turn into familiar faces and building a sense of belonging among its patrons.
The company offers competitive weekly pay and flexible schedules, making it an attractive workplace for individuals seeking a balance between work and personal life. Employees benefit from affordable health, dental, and vision insurance options starting at less than $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits. After one year of service, team members are eligible to participate in a 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer contributions. Additional perks include anniversary pay for eligible employees, discounted meals during shifts, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. Red Lobster is committed to growth and development, providing training and career advancement opportunities for its employees.
As a Server at Red Lobster, the role is key in delivering exceptional customer service from the moment guests are seated to when they leave the restaurant. Servers are responsible for welcoming customers with a warm smile, suggesting beverages, appetizers, and desserts to enhance the dining experience, and accurately taking and entering food and drink orders into the point-of-sale system. Prompt delivery of orders, attentive service to ensure customer satisfaction, including offering drink refills and timely removal of unused items, and efficient handling of checks are all critical duties in this role. Adherence to food safety standards is mandatory to maintain Red Lobster's high quality and safety protocols.
This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, as servers must be able to safely carry up to 30 pounds, bend, reach, and stand for long periods during shifts that typically last between 8 to 12 hours. Teamwork, attention to detail, and multitasking skills are essential to manage the demands of the job effectively. Red Lobster is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities to enable them to perform the essential functions of the server role.
Looking forward, Red Lobster has exciting plans for growth and continued success. Joining the Red Lobster team offers not only a job but a chance to be part of a dynamic and thriving family-oriented workplace where opportunities for career advancement abound. The company prides itself on being an equal opportunity employer dedicated to fostering an inclusive and welcoming work environment for everyone, regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status.
