The Server role at Red Lobster is a vital position focused on creating an exceptional dining experience for every guest. As a Server, you will be the face of the restaurant, greeting guests with a smile and warm hospitality. Your responsibilities include suggestively selling drinks, appetizers, and desserts to enhance the guests’ dining pleasure and accurately taking food and drink orders entered properly into the POS system. You will ensure timely delivery of orders and check back with guests to provide refills and clear used items, maintaining a clean and inviting table setting. Delivering and settling guest checks promptly, thanking guests, and inviting them to return are all part of this customer-oriented role. Additionally, adherence to all food safety standards is required to guarantee a safe dining environment. Job Requirements
- Must meet the minimum age requirement and authorized to work in the country you are applying
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop and lift up to 30 pounds safely
- Ability to move about the restaurant and remain standing for an 8 to 12 hour shift
- Team player with attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in a server or customer service role preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Basic math skills for handling transactions
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service
Job Duties
- Welcoming guests and greeting every guest with a smile when they are seated
- Suggestively selling drinks, appetizers, and desserts
- Accurately taking food and drink orders and entering orders into the POS system properly
- Picking up and delivering food orders in a timely manner
- Checking back with guests throughout the experience to provide refills as needed and clearing any items from the table
- Delivering and settling the check in a timely manner, thanking guests and inviting them to return
- Following all food safety standards
