Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to work days, nights and/or weekends as required
  • Ability to work in a noisy, fast paced environment with distracting conditions
  • Ability to read and write handwritten notes
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to move about facility and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to walk or stand 100% of shift
  • Ability to reach, bend and stoop frequently

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to operate Micros and conduct credit card transactions accurately
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills with guests and team members
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment
  • Capability to maintain a positive and friendly attitude
  • Experience in customer service preferred but not required
  • Basic math skills for handling money and ordering
  • Understanding of sanitation and safety standards
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure

Job Duties

  • Deliver an unparalleled guest experience through the best combination of food, drinks and games in an ideal environment for celebrating all out fun
  • Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
  • Create a warm, fun atmosphere for guests and team members
  • Adhere to company’s sanitation procedures
  • Maintain responsibility for personal bank and ensure all financial transactions are accurate by operating credit card machines correctly, calculating and returning appropriate change and maintaining adequate cash and coin for making change
  • Follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated guests
  • Assess guest demeanor and identify when behavior should be called to the attention of a manager
  • Greet newly seated guests in a friendly and timely manner
  • Accurately take guests’ food and drink orders
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all menu items and be able to answer questions regarding food and drink items and their preparation
  • Enter orders into Micros quickly and in proper sequence, using appropriate modifications and charges
  • Ensure food is properly garnished and deliver trays to designated table server’s own section as well as other sections in the restaurant as needed
  • Work quickly and efficiently adhering to full hands in, full hands out philosophy
  • Assist in party set up and breakdown
  • Bus and reset tables as needed
  • Assist other team members as needed or as business dictates
  • Be responsible for all sales on personal Micros keys and complete station side work at the beginning and end of shifts
  • Participate in all incentives and contests to drive sales and promote the brand
  • Follow portion guidelines to ensure cost control while maximizing the guest experience
  • Ensure ongoing guest satisfaction by checking back after food delivery, maintaining drink levels, removing clutter, pre-bussing as necessary, and responding to guest needs in a timely manner
  • Keep station clean, set up and take down station tables appropriately
  • Maintain favorable working relationships with all other company team members to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate and help keep high morale, productivity and efficiency effectiveness
  • Communicate effectively with guests to generate enthusiasm about the Dave & Buster’s experience
  • Demonstrate ability to operate Micros, make changes, accurately conduct credit card transactions, and account of all monies at the end of each shift
  • Read and communicate in English
  • Listen carefully to guests’ orders and needs and communicate verbally and via Micros system with other team members
  • Maintain proper dress code, looking neat, clean and professional at all times
  • Be at least 18 years of age
