We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Servers to join our team. This role is integral to our commitment to providing outstanding customer service and ensuring each guest feels valued and satisfied with their dining experience. As a Server at SSP America, you will be the face of our brand, responsible for handling customer inquiries, taking accurate orders, and delivering meals promptly and courteously. This position offers competitive pay starting at $4 per hour plus tips, with the potential to earn up to an average of $25 per hour. Employees also benefit from predictable schedules, with most restaurants closing by 9 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

The Server role involves multitasking and attention to detail, where you must be adept at operating point-of-sale (POS) systems, maintaining clean dining areas, and responding proactively to guest needs. You'll collaborate closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service and enhance customer satisfaction. Job Requirements

  • 1 year experience in restaurant serving
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand English to communicate with guests and take orders
  • Experience dealing with customer service issues
  • Basic math skills for operating cash register, making change, totaling guest checks, counting bank, preparing cash drops
  • Food handler’s permit as required by law
  • Brand certification as required
  • Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items
  • Ability to operate a keyboard and POS procedures to pre-check an order and close out a check
  • Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Answer questions and offer suggestions regarding food, beverages, and services of the facility
  • Accurately input orders into the POS system
  • Prepare dishes for service, including ladling soup, tossing salads, cutting portions of pie and desserts, and brewing coffee
  • Observe guests to anticipate their needs and respond to additional requests
  • Clear all dishes away from table
  • Balance and reconcile all assigned open and closed checks by totaling bills and accepting payments
  • Clear and reset all counters or tables at the conclusion of each course
  • Other duties as assigned
