Job Description

Julio's Mexican Restaurant is a well-established dining establishment specializing in authentic Mexican cuisine, proudly serving a diverse clientele with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Known for its vibrant flavors, exceptional hospitality, and commitment to quality, Julio's emphasizes not only the traditional Mexican dining experience but also a professional and supportive work environment for its staff. With a range of dining options from casual meals to more festive family gatherings, Julio's ensures that every guest feels welcome and valued. The restaurant is located in Texas and operates under all applicable State laws and regulations, with a strong focus on compliance and customer satisfaction. Serving both full-time and part-time employees, the restaurant offers flexible schedules and competitive earnings through hourly wages supplemented by tips. The company fosters a team-oriented culture that encourages employee growth and satisfaction, making it an attractive workplace for individuals passionate about food service.

The role of the waiter at Julio's Mexican Restaurant is pivotal in upholding the restaurant’s high standards of customer service and food quality. Waiters are responsible for selling and serving food and beverages to guests in accordance with restaurant policies and Texas state laws. They act as the face of the restaurant, ensuring that each patron receives attentive and courteous service from the moment they enter until they leave. Waiters must have in-depth knowledge of the menu, including food ingredients and preparation methods, enabling them to answer customer questions confidently and effectively. This knowledge supports suggestive selling techniques that help enhance the dining experience for guests while improving sales.

Additionally, waiters at Julio’s are required to maintain standards of cleanliness and organization both at their workstations and throughout the dining area. They perform a variety of side duties including stocking necessary supplies, maintaining service areas, and assisting in food preparation tasks like heating tortillas and dressing salads. The position requires physical endurance as waiters stand and walk for long periods, handle heavy trays, and work in an environment with a high noise level.

Compliance with all company grooming and uniform standards is mandatory to present a professional image. Employees must be bilingual in Spanish and English and possess current certifications such as a Food Handlers card and the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) Seller Training Certification. This role demands excellent multi-tasking abilities, a positive and pleasant personality, and strong teamwork skills. The waiter position at Julio’s is a dynamic opportunity for individuals eager to contribute to a lively restaurant setting, offering competitive pay ranging from $2.15 to $9.00 per hour plus tips, and other benefits including a flexible schedule. This role is available both full-time and part-time and does not require prior formal education, making it accessible to a wide range of applicants who are committed to delivering excellent service and becoming part of the Julio's family.
