Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to get a State-approved Seller/Server Certification
- Ability to wipe down tabletops, table legs, and booth seats in all areas of the restaurant
- Transports plates, glasses, and baskets between dining room, service bar, and kitchen about 30 times per shift
- Reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills required
- Mobility required during the entire shift
- Ability to transport glass racks and cases up to 25 pounds up to 15 times per shift
Job Qualifications
- Ability to get a State-approved Seller/Server Certification
- Ability to maintain cleanliness of dining areas including tabletops, table legs, and booth seats
- Physical stamina to transport plates, glasses, baskets, and cases up to 25 pounds multiple times per shift
- Proficient reading, writing, basic math, and verbal communication skills
- Mobility to stand and move continuously throughout shifts
Job Duties
- Serve food and drinks to guests following Applebee's Ten Basic Service Steps
- Greet guests warmly and provide menu recommendations
- Take and relay orders accurately to the kitchen and service bar using the point-of-sale system
- Monitor guest needs and respond promptly to requests
- Present the guest check and process payments including cash and credit cards
- Clear and reset tables efficiently to prepare for new guests
- Maintain cleanliness by wiping down tabletops, table legs, and booth seats
- Transport plates, glasses, and baskets between dining room, service bar, and kitchen frequently
