Job Description
Invited is a prominent leader in the hospitality and service industry, known for its commitment to building relationships and enriching the lives of its members, guests, and employees since its establishment in 1957. As the largest owner and operator of private clubs nationwide, Invited manages over 130 country clubs, city clubs, and athletic clubs, offering an array of first-class amenities such as championship golf courses, modern workspaces, handcrafted cuisine, resort-style pools, state-of-the-art racquet facilities, and fitness centers. This extensive network of clubs underscores Invited's dedication to delivering exceptional experiences tailored to sophisticated and diverse clientele across the United States. The company fosters an inclusive and dynamic workplace culture where more than 17,000 employees contribute to a shared vision of excellence and service.
The Server 1 role at Invited is essential for delivering top-quality food and beverage service to members and guests, aligning with the company’s renowned standards of hospitality. This position focuses on executing the 3-steps of service philosophy: providing warm welcomes, creating magic moments, and offering fond farewells, ensuring every dining experience is memorable and personalized. Reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Director, Banquet Manager, or Restaurant Manager, the Server 1 plays a non-lead role that supports the seamless operation of the dining area through collaboration with team members and attention to detail. Key responsibilities include thorough knowledge of the à la carte menu, prompt order execution, exceptional member interaction—often greeting members by name—and managing service recovery in response to potential complaints or issues.
In addition to standard serving duties, Server 1 is also expected to maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, comply with club safety and hygiene standards, and contribute positively to the team environment by assisting colleagues and management as needed. This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 100 pounds, as well as working in varying environmental conditions characteristic of club settings. The position’s work schedule includes attendance as outlined in the weekly roster, with availability required for weekends and holidays to meet operational demands.
Invited values ongoing professional development; hence, Server 1 candidates are encouraged to pursue Invited’s Food & Beverage Service Training program and maintain relevant certifications such as Food Handler and Alcohol Server certifications, where applicable. Communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with the team are critical to success in this position. The company offers a competitive compensation package commensurate with experience, education, and geographic location. Full-time team members have access to an expansive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement savings plans, and generous paid time off programs, reflecting Invited’s commitment to the wellbeing and growth of its employees.
Joining Invited as a Server 1 means becoming part of a vibrant, forward-thinking community dedicated to hospitality excellence and a superior member experience. Candidates who thrive in energetic environments, exhibit professionalism, and demonstrate a passion for customer service will find enriching opportunities to grow within the company. Invited’s cultural emphasis on teamwork, respect, and service quality makes it an outstanding choice for individuals seeking a rewarding career in the hospitality industry.
