The Server position at Logans Roadhouse is an essential role designed to enhance the guest dining experience by delivering efficient and friendly tableside service. Servers are responsible for coordinating the delivery of food and beverages in a timely and accurate manner within their designated area of the dining room. This position requires excellent communication skills and a deep knowledge of the menu to assist guests effectively, suggest menu items, and address any questions or concerns related to dishes, drink choices, or dietary restrictions. They will actively engage guests through friendly conversation to create a welcoming atmosphere and ensure satisfaction throughout their visit.

Servers work closely with both front-of-house and back-of-house team members to uphold the restaurant's standards of service and cleanliness. Key duties include taking orders, using the Point-of-Sale system for order entry and payment processing, serving drinks including alcoholic beverages in compliance with legal regulations, refilling drinks, clearing tables, and performing opening and closing side work tasks such as setting up the dining room and maintaining a sanitary environment. The role also involves managing cash and tips accurately and helping guests with their payment transactions.

Job Duties

Display high energy while providing friendly, outgoing customer service to guests
develop a strong understanding of the menu to provide customized service or suggestive selling to guests
record guest orders and enter them in the Point-of-Sale system in a timely manner
perform money transactions, return accurate change, and close checks in Point-of-Sale system
serve multiple tables of guests simultaneously as determined by management
refill drinks and deliver food as soon as necessary or available via tray service
check guests’ identification and serve alcoholic drinks adhering to state and local regulations
partner with other team members to ensure guest satisfaction
memorize the menu and recommend appetizers, meals and drinks from restaurant menus
perform opening and closing side duties as assigned
other functions assigned by management such as prep desserts and salads, restock, check restrooms, empty bus tubs, refill ice, assist other front-of-house and back-of-house team members
