Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • previous restaurant experience is optional but preferred
  • ability to read and understand simple instructions
  • ability to write simple correspondence
  • ability to effectively present information to customers and other team members
  • ability to add and subtract two and three-digit numbers and perform these operations using units of American money
  • ability to operate computer point-of-sale system
  • must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits
  • food handler certification is required
  • TABC certification is required
  • constant standing/walking
  • occasional stooping/kneeling
  • occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 40 pounds
  • occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps
  • constant working in a hot, wet, humid, and loud environment for long periods
  • frequent, continual, intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrist(s) and spine
  • constant receiving detailed information through oral communication
  • constant talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas using the spoken word

Job Duties

  • Welcome and greet guests
  • make our guests feel comfortable and let them know you are there to care for them
  • answer questions about our food, beverages, and other restaurant services
  • take food and beverage orders from guests and enter orders into the point-of-sale system
  • deliver food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to guests promptly
  • prepare the final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change
  • perform side work as management requires at the start and end of each shift
  • monitor guests' dining experience to ensure they are satisfied with the food and service
  • respond promptly and courteously to requests and communicate guest feedback to managers
  • be ready and willing to assist fellow servers
