The role of a Team Member at Dave & Buster's is designed to ensure guests have an unparalleled experience by delivering fast, friendly service while attentively meeting guests' needs. The Team Member must uphold the company's professional dress code, demonstrate proficiency with point-of-sale systems, and be at least 18 years old. Physical demands include standing for the entire shift, lifting up to 30 pounds, and moving about the facility frequently.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to work days, nights, and/or weekends as required
  • Ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to read and write handwritten notes
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to move about the facility and stand for long periods
  • Ability to walk or stand 100% of shift
  • Ability to reach, bend, and stoop frequently

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in food service or customer service is a plus but not required
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Basic math skills for handling cash and operating credit card machines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is an advantage

Job Duties

  • Deliver an unparalleled Guest experience through food, drinks and games
  • Keep immediate supervisor informed of problems or significant matters
  • Create a warm, fun atmosphere for Guests and Team Members
  • Adhere to sanitation procedures
  • Maintain accuracy in handling financial transactions and credit card operations
  • Follow alcohol awareness procedures and address intoxicated Guests appropriately
  • Greet newly seated Guests and take food and drink orders accurately
  • Maintain knowledge of menu items and answer Guest questions
  • Enter orders into Micros system promptly and correctly
  • Ensure food is properly garnished and delivered to designated areas
  • Assist in party setup and breakdown
  • Buss and reset tables as needed
  • Assist other Team Members as needed
  • Handle sales on personal Micros keys and complete station side work
  • Participate in sales incentives and contests
  • Follow portion guidelines for cost control
  • Ensure ongoing Guest satisfaction by checking back after delivery and maintaining drink levels
  • Keep station clean and organized
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all Team Members
  • Communicate effectively with Guests to enhance their experience
  • Demonstrate ability to operate Micros and handle monetary transactions
  • Follow company dress code
  • Listen and communicate clearly with Guests and Team Members
