The current opening is for a Server to join the community’s team. This role is essential within the dining services department, focusing on delivering a superior dining experience to residents and guests. The Server position involves using proper food handling and service techniques, taking meal and drink orders accurately, and serving residents promptly with a courteous and friendly approach. Server team members ensure that every resident is satisfied with their meals, providing knowledge about menu items and specials to enhance the dining experience.
In addition to direct service, the Server role maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of assigned tables and dining areas, adhering strictly to daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules. This position requires strong organizational skills to help maintain the flow and arrangement of dining room supplies and areas. Servers also follow all safety and loss prevention procedures to maintain a secure environment for residents and staff alike.
Team collaboration is emphasized, with responsibilities including assisting in orientation and training of new food servers, performing opening and closing checklist duties, and setting or cleaning the dining room according to hospitality standards. Maintaining high personal appearance standards, sanitation, and hygiene is also vital to uphold the professionalism expected in a senior living community.

Job Duties
- Utilizes proper food handling and food service techniques
- Takes meal/drink orders and serves meals in a friendly and timely manner
- Assures resident/guest is satisfied with their meals
- Maintains knowledge of all specials and general description of all food items and explains to residents or guests
- Maintains assigned tables and surrounding area in a complete state of cleanliness, appearance and readiness
- Follows daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules
- Assists with orientation and training of new food servers
- Practices all safety and loss prevention procedures
- Sets-up and cleans the Dining Room while maintaining or exceeding hospitality and service standards
- Maintains or exceeds standards of appearance, cleanliness, personal sanitation, and hygiene
- Performs and completes opening and closing checklist criteria
- Assists in dining room and surrounding areas for proper directional flow, organization and supplies placement
- Other duties as assigned
