The Server role at West Texas GC is vital to achieving this mission. Servers are the face of the restaurant and are instrumental in delivering exceptional hospitality. They are expected to maintain a clean and neat appearance, exude a positive attitude, and demonstrate courtesy at all times. The Server's responsibilities extend beyond simply delivering food; they involve engaging with guests, understanding their needs, and making their dining experience as pleasurable as possible. Servers follow the Eight Steps of Service to ensure guest satisfaction consistently. Their role is collaborative, often assisting fellow team members to provide seamless service. Operational excellence is also a key aspect, which includes understanding product specifications, performing opening and closing procedures, and adhering to safety standards. Moreover, Servers contribute to maintaining cleanliness and complying with health department regulations, ensuring the restaurant environment is safe and welcoming. This position typically offers shifts across mornings, middays, and evenings and provides opportunities for individuals with a range of experience levels. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Good communication skills
  • Positive attitude and a neat, clean appearance
  • Ability to follow safety and health regulations
  • Ability to perform physical duties required for the position

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in restaurant or customer service preferred but not required
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices

Job Duties

  • Ensures guest satisfaction and promotes return visits by following the Eight Steps of Service
  • Practices positive public relations through ensuring the restaurant is welcoming and inclusive
  • Aware of guests' needs and works to make the guests' experience pleasurable
  • Shows enthusiasm and knowledge about new products and special promotions
  • Promotes teamwork by assisting other Servers
  • Understands product specifications and ensures guests' receipts match the party size
  • Performs opening and closing procedures and side work duties
