Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in a restaurant or customer service role preferred
- TIPS or RAMP certification required before first non-training shift
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- physical ability to stand for up to 5 hours and lift trays up to 25 pounds
- weekend availability preferred
- willingness to work as part of a team
- capable of following instructions and management communications
- basic math proficiency
- familiarity with point-of-sale systems
Job Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
- TIPS or RAMP certified before first non-training shift
- possess basic math skills
- ability to handle money and operate point-of-sale system
- able to stand for long periods
- able to safely lift and maneuver trays up to 25 pounds
- weekend availability is ideal
Job Duties
- Welcome and greet guests
- inform guests of specials and menu changes
- make recommendations guests will enjoy
- answer questions about food, beverages and restaurant services
- properly ID guests 35 and younger
- take food and beverage orders and enter them in point-of-sale system
- deliver food and beverages in a timely manner
- perform side work at start and end of shifts
- maintain clean service areas
- monitor and ensure guest satisfaction
- prepare final bill and process payment
- assist fellow servers and bus-person with clearing and resetting tables
- thank guests and invite them to return
- fill in as needed to ensure smooth operation
- utilize POS and HotSchedules application properly
- read all management messages via HotSchedules before shifts
