Serving guests at Applebee's also involves interacting with a diverse clientele, answering questions, making food and beverage suggestions, and managing the flow of orders through the restaurant’s point-of-sale system. \n\nAdditionally, servers contribute to maintaining a clean and organized dining room by assisting with clearing and resetting tables. While previous experience in food service roles, such as waiter, waitress, runner, or any front-of-house position, is preferred, it is not required, as Applebee's values enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Servers should be able to handle a physically active role that includes walking, standing, carrying plates and beverages, and multitasking in a fast-paced setting.
