This particular role is a part-time position focused on delivering exceptional guest service by serving food and drinks and ensuring guest needs are met courteously and efficiently. Employees are trained in Applebee's Ten Basic Service Steps which guide every interaction with guests, emphasizing teamwork and a positive attitude. The role involves greeting guests, answering questions and providing menu suggestions, interacting verbally to maintain a friendly atmosphere, accurately relaying orders to the kitchen and service bar, monitoring guest satisfaction, handling payments, and assisting with cleaning and resetting tables. Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- prior experience preferred but not required
- available for part-time work
- ability to perform basic cleaning and maintenance tasks
- physical capability to stand, move quickly, and lift items weighing up to 25 pounds
- effective communication skills
- willingness to comply with company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Ability to wipe down surfaces and pick up debris
- ability to transport plates, glasses, and baskets frequently
- reading, writing, basic math, and verbal communication skills
- mobility throughout the shift
- ability to transport glass racks and cases weighing up to 25 pounds
- capability to stand and maintain balance for up to four hours
- ability to bend, kneel, and lift pans and trays weighing 25 pounds
Job Duties
- Delivers food and drinks to guests using team delivery system
- greet guests, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food, drinks, and service
- interact verbally with guests to create friendly and upbeat atmosphere
- relay orders to service bar and kitchen using point-of-sale system
- observe guests and respond to additional requests
- present guest checks and process payments accurately
- participate in clearing and resetting dining room tables
