As a part-time, non-exempt hourly position, the Server role plays an essential part in the daily operations by delivering polished, attentive service while engaging warmly with guests and supporting a seamless dining experience across multiple outlets.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a friendly, team-oriented environment where clear service standards and guest satisfaction are top priorities. Servers at The LineUp at Wai Kai are trusted to demonstrate strong product knowledge of spirits, wines, champagnes, cocktails, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages while expertly taking and processing orders through the point-of-sale system. They ensure timely delivery of food and beverages and actively monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal. Their responsibilities also include maintaining cleanliness and organization of front-of-house dining spaces, accurate cash and credit handling, and adherence to safety and liquor licensing regulations. Servers contribute to the overall guest experience by maintaining professional appearances and positive demeanors, assisting with opening, running, and closing duties, and following section assignments effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours as required
  • ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
  • ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks related to serving and cleaning

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Honolulu Liquor Commission Card (Bartender's Card)
  • valid ServSafe Certification

Job Duties

  • Provide warm, friendly, and attentive food and beverage service to all guests
  • maintain a professional appearance and positive, welcoming presence on the floor
  • demonstrate strong knowledge of spirits, wine, champagne, cocktails, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages
  • accurately take guest orders, enter them into the POS system, and communicate effectively with the kitchen
  • ensure timely delivery of food and beverages and monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience
  • close out checks accurately and follow all cash handling and credit card procedures
  • set, reset, and maintain tables and dining areas according to company standards
  • maintain detailed knowledge of menu items, including descriptions, plating, and garnish standards
  • follow section assignments, table numbers, and seating arrangements
  • complete opening, running, and closing side work as assigned
  • maintain cleanliness of all front-of-house areas, including tables, floors, and service stations
  • engage positively with guests and team members to support a collaborative work environment
  • perform additional duties as assigned to support Food & Beverage operations
