Accurately recording food and beverage orders using the POS system and maintaining close communication with guests to verify satisfaction are key duties of the role.\n\nIn addition to taking orders and delivering food, servers maintain the cleanliness and readiness of dining areas throughout service. This includes removing used dishes and glasses, cleaning and resetting tables promptly, and assisting hosts with phone duties, seating, and guest interactions. Physical stamina is essential, as the role requires standing and moving for long periods, handling heavy lifting up to 40 lbs, and performing routine cleaning tasks like mopping and trash removal. Importantly, servers must also adhere to legal regulations such as checking guests' identification for alcohol service.
