Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years full-service restaurant experience or the equivalent
- Knowledge of menu and specials
- Knowledge of wine list
- Knowledge of liquor list and special drinks
- Knowledge of accounting procedures
- Familiarity with restaurant layout including table and station numbers
- Completion of individual restaurant orientation including rules and philosophies
- Meet personal schedule requirements punctually
- Be courteous, pleasant, and good natured
- Respond to difficult guests with patience and courtesy
- Accept constructive criticism
- Get along well with co-workers
- Maintain a clean and well-manicured appearance
- Stand and walk for an entire shift
- Safely transport food on slick, uneven surfaces
- Transport food for a party of 4 in a single trip
- Continuously transport food and beverages throughout the shift
- Move safely in all restaurant areas
- Work nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years full-service restaurant experience or equivalent
- Knowledge of menu and daily specials
- Familiarity with wine and liquor lists and specialty drinks
- Understanding of accounting procedures
- Awareness of restaurant layout including table and station numbers
- Ability to learn and adhere to individual restaurant orientation materials including rules and philosophies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to respond to difficult guests with patience and courtesy
- Positive attitude towards constructive criticism
- Ability to present a clean and well-groomed appearance
- Capability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Take orders and serve food and beverages to guests in the restaurant and cocktail area
- Manage and effectively service a 6-table station
- Accurately account for and balance all sales and receipts
- Communicate clearly with kitchen using verbal and computer register systems
- Present and promote current menu specials and promotional materials
- Accurately record and account for all items ordered and served
- Accept payments and notify guests of any automatic gratuity
- Handle multiple tasks calmly under pressure
- Communicate courteously and patiently with guests
- Follow established service procedures according to operating standards
