Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • One year of serving experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write and understand English to communicate with residents, guests and staff
  • Manual dexterity to use kitchen utensils such as knives and spoons
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, climb stairs and bend during entire shift
  • Ability to lift or carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Enhance the overall dining experience for residents, family members and guests
  • Assist in delivery of culinary activities for all dining venues including Bistro, Casual, Formal, Luminations® memory care and Club Room
  • Provide service during special events and private functions
  • Maintain The Sterling Touch® standards by being professional, friendly, courteous, helpful and timely
  • Work under guidance of Executive Chef and Dining Room Supervisor in accordance with community standards, processes and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with residents, guests and team members
  • Ensure cleanliness and presentation of dining areas
