Job Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years old
- Must be an American citizen or Green Card holder
- Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days per week for up to 28 weeks
- Must pass pre-employment drug test including marijuana and other controlled substances
- Strict prohibition of alcohol consumption while onboard
- Must meet grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
- Ability to perform emergency and safety functions on the ship
- Physical fitness to handle moderate effects such as lifting, bending, climbing, standing or walking for extended periods
- This is a temporary position not to exceed 28 weeks
Job Qualifications
- At least eighteen (18) years of age
- American citizen or Green Card holder
- Willingness to work minimum 12-hour shifts seven days a week for up to 28 weeks
- Ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing or walking for extended periods
- Ability to maintain composure and a positive attitude under pressure
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Job Duties
- Provide guests with an elegant and memorable dining experience
- Set up and break down breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour including tables, linen, silverware, china and glassware
- Cater to all culinary requests efficiently
- Acknowledge guests by name, escort them to their tables, present food and beverage menus, suggest courses and wines, and answer menu questions
- Relay orders to the galley and serve courses and beverages with proper presentation and garnishing
- Perform additional duties such as greeting guests upon embarkation, serving afternoon teas and snacks, and catering evening entertainment
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in dining areas
