Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food and beverage service preferred
- hold a current Food Handler Card or be in process of certification
- possess a valid TABC license
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations and guest service
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- capability to lift up to 30 pounds
- ability to follow safety and security procedures
- maintain a neat and professional appearance
- effective communication skills in English
Job Qualifications
- Hold a current Food Handler Card or be in the process of certification
- possess a valid TABC license
- have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations
- understand service standards
- demonstrate strong guest relations and etiquette skills
- know appropriate table settings and service ware
- basic proficiency in English for communication
- ability to comprehend and apply written product instructions
- ability to memorize and promote menu items
- ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee makers
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner
- explain specials and restaurant promotions
- check station setup and cleanliness before, during, and after shifts
- record and repeat guest orders for accuracy
- input orders into Point of Sale system
- retrieve and deliver orders with condiments
- comply with liquor regulations when serving alcoholic beverages
- replenish beverages and check on guest satisfaction
- market and serve dessert and specialty coffee items upon request
- assist with clearing and resetting tables
- perform assigned side work such as replenishing condiments and restocking
- conduct general cleaning tasks according to health standards
- present checks to guests promptly
- follow all company policies and procedures
- adhere to safety and security rules and procedures
- know fire prevention and emergency procedures
- use protective equipment appropriately
- report unsafe conditions and incidents to supervisor or manager
- maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
- perform related duties as assigned
- assist other restaurant personnel as needed
