Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
prior experience in food and beverage service preferred
hold a current Food Handler Card or be in process of certification
possess a valid TABC license
basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations and guest service
ability to stand and walk for extended periods
capability to lift up to 30 pounds
ability to follow safety and security procedures
maintain a neat and professional appearance
effective communication skills in English

Job Qualifications

Hold a current Food Handler Card or be in the process of certification
possess a valid TABC license
have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations
understand service standards
demonstrate strong guest relations and etiquette skills
know appropriate table settings and service ware
basic proficiency in English for communication
ability to comprehend and apply written product instructions
ability to memorize and promote menu items
ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee makers

Job Duties

Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner
explain specials and restaurant promotions
check station setup and cleanliness before, during, and after shifts
record and repeat guest orders for accuracy
input orders into Point of Sale system
retrieve and deliver orders with condiments
comply with liquor regulations when serving alcoholic beverages
replenish beverages and check on guest satisfaction
market and serve dessert and specialty coffee items upon request
assist with clearing and resetting tables
perform assigned side work such as replenishing condiments and restocking
conduct general cleaning tasks according to health standards
present checks to guests promptly
follow all company policies and procedures
adhere to safety and security rules and procedures
know fire prevention and emergency procedures
use protective equipment appropriately
report unsafe conditions and incidents to supervisor or manager
maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
perform related duties as assigned
assist other restaurant personnel as needed
