Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of service experience
- basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures
- ability to handle money and operate micros system
- able to communicate effectively in predominant guest languages
- able to stand for long periods
- able to lift trays weighing up to 25 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of service experience
- able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of guests
- basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
- possess basic math skills and ability to handle money and operate micros system
- able to work in standing position for long periods (up to 5 hours)
- able to safely lift and maneuver trays of food weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds
Job Duties
- Welcome and greet guests within 30 seconds
- make all guests feel comfortable and let them know you are there to personally take care of them
- introduce yourself
- inform guests of specials and menu changes
- make recommendations you genuinely feel your guest will enjoy
- answer questions about food, beverages, and restaurant functions
- take food and beverage orders, enter orders into the micros system, double-check for accuracy
- deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar in a timely manner
- perform side work at start and end of each shift as required
- anticipate guests' needs such as napkins, drink refills, appetizer plates
- build regular customers
- maintain clean service areas and pre-bus tables
- monitor guests' dining experience and ensure satisfaction
- prepare final bill, present check, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change
- check back promptly after dropping check
- assist fellow servers and bus person/hostess as needed
- thank guests and invite them to return
- fill in as needed to ensure smooth operation as directed by management
