Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of service experience
  • basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures
  • ability to handle money and operate micros system
  • able to communicate effectively in predominant guest languages
  • able to stand for long periods
  • able to lift trays weighing up to 25 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of service experience
  • able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of guests
  • basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
  • possess basic math skills and ability to handle money and operate micros system
  • able to work in standing position for long periods (up to 5 hours)
  • able to safely lift and maneuver trays of food weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds

Job Duties

  • Welcome and greet guests within 30 seconds
  • make all guests feel comfortable and let them know you are there to personally take care of them
  • introduce yourself
  • inform guests of specials and menu changes
  • make recommendations you genuinely feel your guest will enjoy
  • answer questions about food, beverages, and restaurant functions
  • take food and beverage orders, enter orders into the micros system, double-check for accuracy
  • deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar in a timely manner
  • perform side work at start and end of each shift as required
  • anticipate guests' needs such as napkins, drink refills, appetizer plates
  • build regular customers
  • maintain clean service areas and pre-bus tables
  • monitor guests' dining experience and ensure satisfaction
  • prepare final bill, present check, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change
  • check back promptly after dropping check
  • assist fellow servers and bus person/hostess as needed
  • thank guests and invite them to return
  • fill in as needed to ensure smooth operation as directed by management
